Export and import
Save any song, deck, service, background, theme or settings backup as a file, and bring it back.
Anything in the Library can leave it as a file: to keep a copy, to send to another church, or to open in another program. Right-click it and choose Export on this computer, or Download in the web app.
What each kind saves as
| Item | Saves as |
|---|---|
| Song | a BibleLook song (.blsong), or OpenLyrics (.xml) for OpenLP, OpenSong and Quelea |
| Deck | a BibleLook deck (.bldeck) with its pictures inside, or a PDF, one page per slide |
| Service | a BibleLook service (.blservice) |
| Backdrop | a BibleLook backdrop (.blbackdrop) |
| Theme | a BibleLook theme (.bltheme) |
| Settings backup | a BibleLook settings backup (.blsettings), see A new computer |
| Picture or video | the file itself |
A folder, or several items picked together, saves as one .zip with the
folders inside it as they are in the Library. A video that is only in the
cloud is downloaded first, so the export is always whole.
A service remembers which songs and decks it uses but does not carry them. Export those too, or the whole folder, when you send a service to another church.
Importing
Drop BibleLook files or a zip of them onto the Library, or pick them with
Create › Add files. .blsong files can also go through
Import songs. They arrive in the folder you are in.
An import is always a new copy: it never replaces anything, and importing the same file twice gives you two. A file made by a newer BibleLook than yours is refused with a note to update.
