Marked Words
Underline the words of a verse the preacher is leaning on, on every screen.
When the preacher leans on two or three words of the verse on the wall, you can mark them. Every screen underlines them, or highlights them, while the verse stays up.
Mark words
With a verse on the wall, find its row in the Bible list, the red one. Press on a word and drag across the ones you want, in any direction; on a verse that wraps over several lines, drag down. The words you pick get a dashed underline and a small bar opens over them. Press Highlight and they go up on every screen. Nothing changes on the screens before that.
Drag across words that are already marked and the bar offers Remove highlight instead. Clear takes every mark off the verse. Press Escape or click anywhere else to close the bar without changing anything.
A plain click still selects the verse and a double-click still shows it. Drag out of the verse onto another and you select verses as usual. To put the verse in the service, hold Option (Alt on Windows) and drag it to the rail, as with any other verse. To unmark everything, right-click the row and choose Clear marks. Nothing about the verse moves: the words stay where they were and the mark is drawn over them.
When a second translation is showing, its words are marked separately: switch the list to that translation and drag across its row. The app does not guess which words match between translations.
When they go
Marks belong to the verse on the wall. Step to the next verse, hide it or show something else, and they are gone. A long verse read in parts keeps its marks from one part to the next.
From a phone
On a phone with control of this computer, the Bible tab shows the verse on the wall above the chapter, word by word. Tap words to mark them the same way. A helper’s phone reads the verse but cannot mark it.
How marks look
The theme decides. In the theme editor, a text box has a Marked words section: an underline or a highlighter, its colour and, for an underline, its thickness. A theme that never set one underlines in the colour of its text.
