Connecting Claude or ChatGPT

An AI app such as Claude or ChatGPT can work in your church’s library for you. Ask it to add this week’s songs from a chord sheet, translate a song into Ukrainian, tag the Christmas songs, plan next Sunday from your template or make a deck of announcements, and it does the work in BibleLook.

It needs BibleLook Plus, and only the church’s owner or an admin can connect one.

Connect it

1. In the account app, open AI and copy the Connector address: https://mcp.biblelook.com/mcp.
2. In your AI app, add a custom connector with that address. In Claude it is under Settings, Connectors; in ChatGPT, under Settings, Apps and connectors.
3. The app opens BibleLook in your browser. Sign in if you are asked to, pick the church, choose Read and edit or Read only, and press Connect.

You are back in the AI app, and it can now find and open what is in the library.

What it can do

• Find and read anything in the library: songs in every language, services, templates, decks and folders.
• Add songs, rewrite their words, add a translation and tag them.
• Make a service from a template and fill its running order with songs, readings, speakers, decks and headings.
• Make decks and change their slides. It is told when text does not fit, so ask it to fix what it reports.
• Make folders, move and rename things, and move them to the trash.

What it can’t do

• Control the screens in the hall. That stays with the operator.
• Change a service dated today or earlier, or the songs and decks today’s service uses.
• Move more than 100 items to the trash in a day.
• Delete anything for good. The trash keeps it for 30 days.
• Read Bible texts. It sees references, such as John 3:16, and knows the verses on its own.
• Add pictures or videos.

Who made a change

The AI works as the person who connected it, with their access. Every change it makes shows in the item’s history and in the chat as that person through the app, for example “Olena via Claude”. If someone stops being an admin or leaves the church, the AI apps they connected stop working.

Disconnect it

Open AI in the account app and press Disconnect beside the app. It stops working at once, and what it already changed stays in the library. Any admin can disconnect any AI app connected to the church. Sign out everywhere else on your account page disconnects every AI app you connected, too.
