Songs
Running a song
Build the set, and move through the words during the service.
Build the set
The set is part of the order of service, in the rail on the left. Add to service on a song in the library puts it there, and dragging a row reorders it.
Build it before the service. Searching a library mid-worship is how a gap appears on the screen.
Show the words
Double-click a song in the Library to open it. The page shows the song in the order it will be sung, every slide a row, colour-coded by kind: verse, chorus, bridge, ending, intro. A song is sung in its Main arrangement unless you choose another above the list before the service. Either way, you see exactly what the congregation will see and in what order.
Click a row to pick it, and Show puts it on the projector. A double-click shows any row straight away, and the left and right arrow keys step through the song while it is up. The same page is where you run it from: nothing moves you anywhere else.
A chorus that repeats is in the list every time it is sung rather than once, so following the set is reading down a list, not remembering where to jump back to. The column beside the list says how many times each part is sung, and which parts this arrangement leaves out.
Songs in more than one language
A song can hold several languages at once, with one of them primary. They are shown together in the theme’s parallel arrangement, the same way Compare translation shows two Bible translations.
Notes
A song can carry notes: a key change, a cue, who leads the second verse. They are for the operator and never reach the screen.
